Company credits ‘Trump Tax Cut and Jobs Act’ as Reason Employees Got $1K Bonus Checks

Day after day, more and more American Companies and businesses are offering bonuses, pay raises and other benefits to their employees following the passing of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

American Company Spellex , a software developer out of Tampa Bay joined the party by giving its employees a $1,000 bonus check, and the company made sure their employees knew it was all made possible by President Trump.

On Spellex’s bonus checks, it read in the “Memo” section: “Trump Tax Cut and Jobs Act.”

The Founder and CEO of Spellex, Sheldon Wolf said on “Fox & Friends” that he was inspired when he saw bigger companies like AT&T and Bank of America giving out bonuses and sharing the tax cut savings with employees.

“I thought, ‘Well, what about us smaller companies, companies with less than 100 employees or less than even 50 employees? We could do the same thing,'” Wolf said. “I wanted to do it because I’m excited about the new tax plan from Trump and the GOP, and I wanted to share the wealth, as they say.”

He said that many of his employees are not particularly involved politically, so it really made an impact when they received an unexpected bonus check.

“It plainly said, ‘This is why you’re getting this check, because of the change in the new tax plan,'” Wolf explained.

“I don’t think they’re particularly fans of President Trump, but nobody was complaining. They were all happy.”
