President Trump is Working to Rebuild Rural America

President Trump is working to keep another one of his Campaign promises to rebuild rural America and take care of our Farmers!

From The Office of The White House

Our farmers deserve a government that serves their interest and empowers them to do the hard work that they love to do so much.

-President Donald J. Trump

President Donald J. Trump has charged the Rural Prosperity Task Force with examining the challenges facing rural America.

• Rural employment has grown slower than employment in urban areas, and was the slowest to recover from the recession.

• Many Americans living in rural communities continue to face barriers that prevent them from attaining the quality of life they deserve.

• Poverty rates are disproportionately high in many rural communities.

• Access to adequate transportation is a hindrance to many rural Americans.

• Insufficient access to medical care means health problems can be exceptionally hard to overcome for Americans living in rural areas.

• Too many rural Americans do not have necessary broadband access needed to engage in the modern economy.

• According to the Federal Communications Commission, 39 percent of rural Americans, or 23 million people, lack sufficient broadband access.

• Insufficient broadband networks in rural areas leave many Americans without access to services such as telemedicine and long distance learning.

• High costs of deployment have kept commercial internet providers from installing equipment in rural areas.

President Trump’s Rural Prosperity Task Force has proposed recommendations to help rural America grow and thrive.

• President Trump established the Rural Prosperity Task Force on April 25, 2017, to identify legislative, regulatory, and policy changes needed to help secure a prosperous future for rural America.

• The Task Force is chaired by Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue and includes local leaders and representatives from 22 Federal departments and agencies.

• The Task Force identified more than 100 actions centering on five key areas that can help achieve a better future for rural America.

Connectivity for rural America:

Electronic connectivity is essential for rural communities to succeed. To ensure rural American can compete, the report recommends:

• assessing the current state and effectiveness of rural connectivity and supporting programs;

• establishing a leadership team among the White House and various departments to ensure better access to electronic connectivity; and

• cutting red tape to encourage investment in high-speed internet.

Quality of Life Improvement:

In order to achieve prosperity, rural Americans must have a high quality of life. To improve quality of life, the report recommends:

• targeting rural areas for transportation investment using current programs;

• establishing public-private partnerships to help rural Americans complete an education; and

• expediting infrastructure and technology investment in electric and water utilities for rural communities.

Support for a Rural Workforce:

Every rural community needs job opportunities for its residents and rural businesses need qualified workers. To increase the availability of qualified workers, the report recommends:

• expanding apprenticeship programs, particularly in healthcare and trade industries;

• centralizing access to Federal job training programs and encouraging agencies to partner with the Department of Agriculture to host programs at local offices; and

• improving the H-2A program through new policies and regulatory changes.

Harnessing Technological Innovation:

Continued American leadership in agricultural production and productivity will require leveraging emerging technologies across American farmlands. To promote innovation, the report recommends:

• developing best practices to better leverage big data collection and analysis for agricultural applications;

• expediting FAA regulatory waiver approvals for low-altitude unmanned aircraft system flights in rural environments; and

• modernizing and streamlining a science-based regulatory policy to expedite the commercialization of safe biotechnology products.

Rural Economic Development:

By empowering rural economies, we empower America’s economy. To develop rural economies, the report recommends:

• creating an online Rural Prosperity Portal to help facilitate investment in rural communities;

• removing regulatory barriers to develop and access natural resources in rural areas; and

• increasing access to capital in rural communities by identifying projects for private investment.

President Trump’s Administration will build on existing projects and efforts to support rural America.

• On November 6, 2017, the Department of Agriculture announced it will invest more than $200 million to help bring broadband to rural communities.

• President Trump’s Department of Agriculture has announced it will invest $2.5 billion in electric infrastructure improvements in rural areas.

• In fiscal year 2017, the Department of Agriculture provided more than $1 billion to help improve access to health care for rural Americans.

• This $1 billion helped 2.5 million Americans living in rural communities in 41 States.

• The Department of Agriculture invested more than $40 million to improve infrastructure in rural America in fiscal year 2017.

• President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law, which will provide needed tax cuts to America’s farmers.

• Most farms are organized as pass-through businesses, which will benefit from both lower tax rates across the board and a 20 percent deduction in their taxable income.

• The vast majority of family farms will be exempt from the estate tax.

• Farmers will be able expense 100 percent of their capital investments, such as equipment, over the next four years.

Trump administration announces plans to dramatically expand offshore drilling

The United States will finally be unleashing our full potential, cutting our dependency on foreign oil and kicking the economy into overdrive!

The Trump administration announced Thursday it is planning to dramatically expand offshore drilling, opening almost all U.S. coastal waters to potential oil and gas exploration and development.

‘It Was Mind-Blowing’ Trump Supporters Get Surprise Invite Into Mar-a-Lago to Meet President

President Trump gave a group of supporters gathered on the side of the road a surprise invite to see the inside of Mar-a-Lago Saturday.

A group of Trump supporters who gathered in Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend to welcome the president to Mar-a-Lago got the surprise of a lifetime when they were invited to visit President Trump’s private club.

One of those Trump supporters, Donald Tarca Jr., explained on “Fox & Friends” that about 16 of them had gathered at an intersection on Saturday to watch Trump’s motorcade pass by.

About 20 minutes after the motorcade passed the sign-waving crowd, a van stopped near them and a Secret Service agent said Trump would like to meet the group at Mar-a-Lago.

Two vans brought them to the club where they had the opportunity to pose for group and individual photographs with the president.

Tarca said that when he had a chance to speak to Trump, he told him about how the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) had negatively impacted him.

“He was so nice, and it was so comfortable to talk to him,” Tarca said. “It really was like talking to an uncle you’ve known forever.”

“It stunned me,” “I didn’t know what to think.”

“He couldn’t have been more down to earth,” Mary Tulko explained. “He was just really nice.”

Trump treated his guests to snacks and gave a history lesson about the Florida estate.

The president’s invited guests were not high-powered donors, but members of the “Trump squad”—a faithful band of local Floridians who stand under the Southern Boulevard bridge in Palm Beach waving signs and banners in support of the president, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

Trump had been at his Palm Beach property for Christmas and the New Year’s holiday.

“I was honored that the president, the most powerful man in the world, noticed us and invited us back. It was mind-blowing, and it is a day that this ‘deplorable’ will never forget, that we the people do matter,” supporter Donald Tarca Jr. told Fox & Friends.

President Trump Proclaims January National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

President Trump cracks down on Modern slavery and Human trafficking, signing two Bills on Friday that will combat them. Why haven’t CNN or MSNBC covered this story?

From The Office of The White House

During National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, we recommit ourselves to eradicating the evil of enslavement.  Human trafficking is a modern form of the oldest and most barbaric type of exploitation.  It has no place in our world.  This month we do not simply reflect on this appalling reality.  We also pledge to do all in our power to end the horrific practice of human trafficking that plagues innocent victims around the world.

Human trafficking is a sickening crime at odds with our very humanity.  An estimated 25 million people are currently victims of human trafficking for both sex and labor.  Human traffickers prey on their victims by promising a life of hope and greater opportunity, while delivering only enslavement.  Instead of delivering people to better lives, traffickers unjustifiably profit from the labor and toil of their victims, who they force — through violence and intimidation — to work in brothels and factories, on farms and fishing vessels, in private homes, and in countless industries.

My Administration continues to work to drive out the darkness human traffickers cast upon our world.  In February, I signed an Executive Order to dismantle transnational criminal organizations, including those that perpetuate the crime of human trafficking.

My Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons has enhanced collaboration with other nations, businesses, civil society organizations, and survivors of human trafficking.

The Department of Health and Human Services has established a new national training and technical assistance center to strengthen our healthcare industry’s anti-trafficking response.

The Department of State has contributed $25 million to the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, because of the critical need for cross-nation collaborative action to counter human trafficking.

The Department of Labor has released an innovative, business-focused mobile app that supports private-sector efforts to eradicate forced labor from global supply chains.  And this month, I will sign into law S. 1536, the Combating Human Trafficking in Commercial Vehicles Act and S. 1532, the No Human Trafficking on Our Roads Act.

These bills will keep those who commit trafficking offenses from operating commercial vehicles, improve anti-human trafficking coordination within Federal agencies and across State and local governments, and improve efforts to recognize, prevent, and report human trafficking.

In addition to these governmental actions, Americans must learn how to identify and combat the evil of enslavement.  This is especially important for those who are most likely to encounter the perpetrators of slavery and their victims, including healthcare providers, educators, law enforcement officials, and social services professionals.

Through the Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign, all Americans can learn to recognize the signs of human trafficking and how to report suspected instances.

By taking steps to become familiar with the telltale signs of traffickers or the signals of their victims, Americans can save innocent lives.

Our Nation is and will forever be a place that values and protects human life and dignity.  This month, let us redouble our efforts to ensure that modern day slavery comes to its long overdue end.

Official Proclamation:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim January 2018 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, culminating in the annual celebration of National Freedom Day on February 1, 2018.  I call upon industry associations, law enforcement, private businesses, faith-based and other organizations of civil society, schools, families, and all Americans to recognize our vital roles in ending all forms of modern slavery and to observe this month with appropriate programs and activities aimed at ending and preventing all forms of human trafficking.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-ninth day of December, in the year of our Lord two thousand seventeen, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-second.

President Trump Announces His “America First” National Security Strategy

“Our government’s first duty is to its people, to our citizens — to serve their needs, to ensure their safety, to preserve their rights, and to defend their values”.

-President Donald J. Trump

From The Office of The White House

Less than a year after taking office, President Donald J. Trump is unveiling a new National Security Strategy that sets a positive strategic direction for the United States that will restore America’s advantages in the world and build upon our country’s great strengths.

• The 2017 National Security Strategy (Strategy) builds on the 11 months of Presidential action to restore respect for the United States abroad and renew American confidence at home.

• Strategic confidence enables the United States to protect its vital national interests. The Strategy identifies four vital national interests, or “four pillars” as:

I. Protect the homeland, the American people, and American way of life;

II. Promote American prosperity;

III. Preserve peace through strength;

IV. Advance American influence.

• The Strategy addresses key challenges and trends that affect our standing in the world, including:

• Revisionist powers, such as China and Russia, that use technology, propaganda, and coercion to shape a world antithetical to our interests and values;

• Regional dictators that spread terror, threaten their neighbors, and pursue weapons of mass destruction;

• Jihadist terrorists that foment hatred to incite violence against innocents in the name of a wicked ideology, and transnational criminal organizations that spill drugs and violence into our communities.

• The Strategy articulates and advances the President’s concept of principled realism.

• It is realist because it acknowledges the central role of power in international politics, affirms that strong and sovereign states are the best hope for a peaceful world, and clearly defines our national interests.

• It is principled because it is grounded in advancing American principles, which spreads peace and prosperity around the globe.

President Trump’s fundamental responsibility is to protect the American people, the homeland, and the American way of life.

• We will strengthen control of our borders and reform our immigration system to protect the homeland and restore our sovereignty.

• The greatest transnational threats to the homeland are:

• Jihadist terrorists, using barbaric cruelty to commit murder, repression, and slavery, and virtual networks to exploit vulnerable populations and inspire and direct plots.

• Transnational criminal organizations, tearing apart our communities with drugs and violence and weakening our allies and partners by corrupting democratic institutions.

• America will target threats at their source: we will confront threats before they ever reach our borders or cause harm to our people.

• We will redouble our efforts to protect our critical infrastructure and digital networks, because new technology and new adversaries create new vulnerabilities.

• We are deploying a layered missile defense system to defend America against missile attacks.

A strong economy protects the American people, supports our way of life, and sustains American power.

• We will rejuvenate the American economy for the benefit of American workers and companies, which is necessary to restore our national power.

• America will no longer tolerate chronic trade abuses and will pursue free, fair, and reciprocal economic relationships.

• To succeed in this 21st century geopolitical competition, America must lead in research, technology, and innovation. We will protect our national security innovation base from those who steal our intellectual property and unfairly exploit the innovation of free societies.

• America will use its energy dominance to ensure international markets remain open, and that the benefits of diversification and energy access promote economic and national security.

An America strengthened, renewed, and rejuvenated will ensure peace and deter hostility.

• We will rebuild America’s military strength to ensure it remains second to none.

• America will use all of the tools of statecraft in a new era of strategic competition—diplomatic, information, military, and economic—to protect our interests.

• America will strengthen its capabilities across numerous domains — including space and cyber — and revitalize capabilities that have been neglected.

• America’s allies and partners magnify our power and protect our shared interests. We expect them to take greater responsibility for addressing common threats.

• We will ensure the balance of power remains in America’s favor in key regions of the world: the Indo-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East.

As a force for good throughout its history, America will use its influence to advance our interests and benefit humanity.

• We must continue to enhance our influence overseas to protect the American people and promote our prosperity.

• America’s diplomatic and development efforts will compete to achieve better outcomes in all arenas—bilateral, multilateral, and in the information realm—to protect our interests, find new economic opportunities for Americans, and challenge our competitors.

• America will seek partnerships with like-minded states to promote free market economies, private sector growth, political stability, and peace.

• We champion our values – including the rule of law and individual rights – that promote strong, stable, prosperous, and sovereign states.

• Our America First foreign policy celebrates America’s influence in the world as a positive force that can help set the conditions for peace, prosperity, and the development of successful societies.

Week #43 Recap of President Trumps accomplishments

From The Office of The White House

During his historic trip to Asia, President Trump demonstrated his strength and leadership on the world stage once again. In his meetings with world leaders, the President fought for fair and reciprocal trade agreements, working to end years of imbalanced trade that has left too many Americans behind. The President also secured new business deals with sales by American companies totaling at least $300 billion that will produce new jobs for American workers. As he reported on the success of his trip, including making progress to advance peace and prosperity in Asia, the President said it best: “America is back!”

The President secured a big victory for working men and women on Thursday, when the House passed his historic tax reform plan. This plan will make our economy competitive again, creating millions of jobs and providing a pay raise to middle class families. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. We look forward to seeing Senate Republicans work closely with the administration to uphold President Trump’s promise to deliver the biggest tax cut in American history as soon as possible. Call your Senators today and tell them to VOTE YES on President Trump’s tax reform plan.

Honoring our Veterans has been a top priority for President Trump since he first took office, which he demonstrated again last week when he signed a proclamation honoring the veterans of the Vietnam War. The President has set a new standard for the support we provide veterans who have sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms. These include major reforms at the Veterans Administration, securing almost $4 billion in new funding, new veterans employment programs, Pets for Vets, and more. Veterans can be sure that the President will not rest until his reforms and policies to support our military heroes are fully implemented under his leadership.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s already been one year since the historic election of Donald Trump as President. In that time, the President has already produced great results through his leadership. For instance, the American economy is already soaring with nearly 1.5 million new jobs created, consumer and business confidence at their highest levels in 15 years, and the economy expanding by 3% for two quarters in a row. This has already been a year of great accomplishments, yet we’re just getting started thanks to strong supporters like you working with us to Make America Great Again!

President Trump negotiates the release of UCLA Basketball players with China

President Trumps diplomacy and negotiating skills are proving the left wrong over his tour of Asia.

College basketball players from UCLA were arrested in China for property theft while the team visited the country for an international tournament. They have now been released and are currently traveling to the United States.

The three players, LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley were arrested by Chinese authorities for reportedly stealing sunglasses from an upscale store near the team’s hotel, and have been detained by police for more than a week.

They released the players just days after President Trump personally appealed to Chinese leader Xi Jinping to release the athletes.

US authorities confirmed on Tuesday that the issue “has been resolved to the satisfaction of the Chinese authorities,” thanking President Trump for resolving “the incident with authorities in Hangzhou, China.”

“I had a great conversation with President Xi,” Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One as he returned from his two-week long trip to Asia. “He was terrific, and they’re working on it right now, and hopefully everything is going to work out.”

“What they did was unfortunate,” he added. “You know, you’re talking about very long prison sentences. They do not play games.”

Week #42 recap of President Trumps accomplishments

From The Office of The White House

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of last Sunday’s horrific, deadly attack, in Sutherland Springs, Texas and their entire community. This heinous act of evil occurred as the victims and their families were in their place of sacred worship at the First Baptist Church. Thankfully, a heroic neighbor acted quickly and decisively to chase the attacker away and bring an end to this evil, though so many lives were already lost. In dark times such as these, Americans do what we do best: we pull together. We join hands, lock arms, and through the tears and the sadness, we stand strong. Please join us in praying for the good people of Sutherland, Texas. We will never leave their side.

The U.S. economy continues to experience worker-friendly growth. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that nonfarm payrolls grew by 261,000 jobs in October while the unemployment rate fell to 4.1 percent, the lowest rate since the Year 2000. This brings the total of new jobs created to 1.5 million since President Trump took office. Now, more than 80 percent of people polled believe the American dream is within their reach. President Trump was excited to build on this good news with the announcement that Broadcom Limited (Global Chip Maker) is moving its headquarters from Singapore back to the United States. With this commitment, more than $20 billion in annual revenue will come back to American cities, towns, and workers.

Last Friday, President Trump departed for Asia, on what will be the longest trip to the continent by an American president in more than a quarter century. The President has several major objectives on this trip, including demonstrating our nation’s commitment to Asia, strengthening international resolve to de-nuclearize North Korea, promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific, and advancing American prosperity. This trip will strengthen U.S. alliances and partnerships with visits by the President to Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, and China. President Trump is addressing a wide array of strategic issues with foreign leaders, including a huge announcement of billions of dollars in agreements with China.

Over the last decade too many hard-working Americans have struggled to find good-paying jobs, make ends meet, and provide for their families. They are the focus of President Trump’s tax plan. Strengthening and growing the middle class, and keeping more money in peoples’ pockets, is how we will build a stronger America. At the same time, taxpayers deserve a system that is more fair and simple. America’s tax code should be working for, not against, middle-class families. There is still time to contact your representatives and senators to encourage them to support this tax plan!

Devastating wildfires are still raging across California, taking numerous lives, destroying more than 2,000 homes and businesses, and threatening the health and safety of people across the state. Vice President Pence visited California’s emergency management headquarters where he announced that President Trump ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the areas impacted by the wildfires. The work of the men and women in the Office of Emergency Services is critical for bringing these fires under control, and saving lives and property throughout California. We want to thank them for their continued hard work and offer our thoughts and prayers to everyone in California.

On Wednesday, President Trump addressed manufacturers and truckers in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, enlisting their support to get his tax reform plan passed in Congress. While there, the President said, “When your trucks are moving, America is growing. (We are) taking historic steps to remove the barriers that slow you down. America First means putting American truckers first.” The President also announced that, under his tax plan, the typical American family will get a $4,000 pay raise. This is yet another reason Congress must get behind the President’s plan to reduce family and business taxes. Congress should never forget exactly why voters sent them to Washington — to get things done and make life better for the American people. Please keep contacting your U.S. Representative and Senators and tell them to support President Trump’s tax reform plan to make the “Middle Class Miracle” a reality this year.

The Trump Administration is ready to work with Congress to achieve real immigration reform, and now there is a blueprint for them to follow. The administration just released new principles that reflect the immigration issues President Trump promoted throughout the 2016 campaign: Building a southern border wall, ending sanctuary cities, limiting visa overstays, bolstering our law enforcement personnel with new ICE officers and prosecutors. These measures will secure our communities, protect American workers, and promote financial success to Make America Safe Again and Make America Great Again.

It is estimated that by 2018 there will be fewer pages of federal regulations for the first time in American history. This is because President Trump is already “the most effective deregulatory president in American history,” according to former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich. By reducing burdensome regulations, the President has begun to fuel real growth in the U.S economy, with quarterly GDP exceeding 3% for the first time in over two years. Now the EPA has proposed to repeal the Clean Power Plan as another step to relieve burdens on American businesses and workers, including the struggling coal industry. The CPP is a federal overreach whose repeal will bring the rule of law back to the EPA, creating new jobs in the energy sector and reducing energy costs for consumers. This is great news for American workers throughout the economy.
